I can tell you where NOT to go.
I cant remember the name but its some place where the waiters are suppose to be rude to you but I don't get the appeal. There were kids everywhere and it just gave me the creeps.

I ordered a salad and they brought me the most fattening salad Ive ever seen. Maybe 3 actually pieces of lettuce. It was gross.

If anyone knows what Im talking about tell this guy not to go there!

And there's the appeal right there of places like Ed Debevic's (the place you went) and Rainforest Cafe and Medieval Times: you agree to overpay them for average food and they agree to keep your kids entertained and occupied for a while.
