No, I'm only down on my luck now unemployed, and more than 10% of Americans are jobless now...

You might be next too...
1st question: No
2nd Question: Yes - That was after working a 72 hour week i brought home more than that.

My position is actually very stable and in demand in the chicago area.

My position is very stable (actually moreso than it was a year ago.)

Jesse, you are not a loser because you are unemployed. You are a loser for many other reasons.

So now I can't spend $ to buy stuff. Gotta wait for that counterfeit Chanel J12 watch I want!

I'm just happy to go out and eat a nice meal... can't afford women now either... I gave my phone # and email to a woman I met at Wicker Park Park / we had a nice conversation but I told her I'm unemployed and I never got a call or email from her. And I emailed her but she didn't reply.

So dating life is rough for an unemployed guy...
Where dating problems are concerned, I suspect being unemployed is near the bottom of the list of your problems.

First I start planning Friday night. I make a long list of everything I need, hit the grocery store, then do any food preparation I need before the big day. Saturday morning, I wake up, pack about 100lbs of junkola, namely a grill, a cooler with softdrinks and beer, a radio, tables charirs, dogs and the wife.

I head on over to the Lincoln Square Park (forget the name), spend about a half hour setting up, then sit in the sun reading a book or listinging to the cubs game if on. About noon after I have a nice buzz going, my friends show up and we light up the grill. After we stuff ourselves with kabobs, burgers, and dogs, we play bocce ball for a couple of hours. We finish up about 4pm, pack it in, home and cleaned up by 5.

Take a short nap, watch a little tv, maybe walk around the block and do a little shopping. We stop at the RedBox on the way home, start a movie about 9pm.

That, imho, is a perfect day in Chicago.

Well that is a start. Just be sure not to be living there still when you are 25 or 30.
