Illinois Football:
1) Michigan
2) Mizzou (we have a yearly Arch Rivalry game)
3) Northwestern - yearly Sweet Sioux Tomahawk game, winner keeps the tomahawk!
Illinois Basketball:
1) Wisconsin - there have been some pretty intense games in the past 10 years
2) North Carolina - 2005, we will never forget
3) Michigan State - these guys are so good every year, plus we love to hate Tom Izzo

traditionally I'd definitely add Iowa for football and IU for b'ball

Hancock V Sears in the battle of the Big Shoulders is Chi's biggest rivalry. Hancock wins.

But, to me a rivalry needs to be mutual. UofI would be pretty far down on the list of the teams that Michigan considers rivals. I mean, they've got Ohio State, Michigan State, Appalachian State (heh), etc.
Same goes for North Carolina in basketball. They've got Duke and the rest of the ACC to deal with, as far as rivalries go.

And no, Snoylekim, we don't remember that. Considering that 2-0 game happened in 1905, I don't think you remember it either. UofC football is ALSO undefeated against Notre Dame. Which is awesome.

No, I wasn't there ..but I'm betting Alonzo Stagg is still coaching Junior College ball someplace under an assumed name

...I was concentrating on the last names....I suppose I should have realized this, but if you're being sarcastic..it's not appreciated.
If this commercial is the way that Hampton is trying to stay relevant, then it's time for him to move on...

Those Muck Fichigan shirts were around long before that game against Micigan.
I agree with your football. Basketball...nots so much.
Illinois Basketball:
1. Indiana
2. Michigan
3. Toss up between Mich. State, Wisconsin, and maybe Purdue.
Also, why the hate for Izzo? Dude is as classy as they come in college bball.

Oh come on. He was no George Halas. You have to admit "Da Coach" is kind of a buffoon.

Part of the Da Coach persona is an act. Everyone that knows anything about Da Coach knows this.
