"Chicago area's oldest amusement park, to close"
Just ran into this article while surfing the web, I had no idea that the chicago areas oldest park is going to be closed and torn up for a new development. What other amusement parks, with the exception of Great America do we still have left??

I'll be psyched if Costco moves in to that site.

Kiddieland's prices are outrageous for adults- you might as well take your kids to Great America

I actually don't even know what Kiddieland is, it sounds like a baby put put ride park, but I guess it must have some significance in Chicago area culture.

It's an amusement park for the 6 and under crowd. Seriously, a 7 year old might be too old for that place.
I have some great memories (just barely) there. So do my folks. Oh well.

I am shocked that people that live in or grew up in the Chicago area have never heard of it.
I went there probably like 100 times as a kid.
