It does mention Agee father's death, however it doesn't mention where he died.

I don't remember the year, but I believe it was CB where the lady Mayor lived for a short while to prove how safe it was. If I recall correctly she was a one term Mayor.

yep, Jane Byrne. and it was quite safe, as it would be for anyone who had an armed guard 24/7.

the irony of that pitiful PR move was that it is documented that when she came into the unit crime jumped in the immediate area, as the police department was simply reallocating its regular Cabrini detachment to cover her.

Exactly. It was a media feeding frenzy that not only cost a second term. it cost her credibility. I don't remember that anyone paid a lot to attention to her after that silly stunt. I thought at that time that if she wanted to make a point she needed to do it on her own with a limited income. If I recall correctly no one in CG had a $100K salary and an almost unlimited expense account. If she wanted to shed alight on Chicago poverty, she did a good job - but it solved no issues for those in CB or the surrounding area. .

Also, the building where she lived had an unitended consequence. They permanently blocked off the back entrance(with brick) and therefore remained only one entrance. After she left, it became a major drug fortress and there was only 1 way in and out which made it harder for the cops to chase running suspects.
