South Shore train line question
OK, so the South Shore line shares a handful of stops with Metra from the south side through Millennium Park. However, South Shore is not allowed to provide service from one Metra station to another Metra station. So technically if you board an outbound any further north than Hegewisch, your first opportunity to disembark is Hegewisch. So what happens if you board at Millennium Park and they stop to pick up passengers at, say, Kensington, and you have a hankering to get off the train? Do they physically restrain you from getting off or something?

You have to buy a ticket that specifies the stop. If you get off before the ticket you are just overpaying / subsidizing the Indiana stops.

No, but you will get a severe tongue lashing. Seriously.

Yeah, won't you be the only one exiting the train?

And I bet I could tell you what the conductor who would be so petty looks like. He likes to give tongue lashings for very silly reasons.
He gave me a tongue lashing once for paying for my ticket with a $20 bill when the ticket window was closed.
