Default 25 year old needing advice on job market...

Yes, this is another "moving to Chicago" thread! I apologize in advance, but I tried searching the forums and couldn't find what I was looking for.

I'm 25, male, single and have no children. I can stay with family in the NW suburbs for free (for a while), so temporary housing is not an issue. I have a BA in English and two and a half years at my current job as my boss's "do whatever" guy. My question is this: Are there any entry-level jobs in Chicago that are hiring right now? I'm not too particular on what industry (but do have some experience in web content writing and data management), because I plan on going to grad school and may have to keep unusual hours.

I know that the job market isn't great anywhere right now, but I'm interested in both your good AND bad advice and stories. I'd really appreciate any advice (and possible any job offers...

Check out Chicago teaching fellows. There is a thread on it here and I think they accept applications all the time but only do interviews a few times a year.

Knowing your track record, I highly suggest you stay away from any topic that involves you giving career advice.

I'll ask a bike question later to make you feel better.

Try the temp agencies. Quick hiring, about equal pay, and a variety of experiences. Totally worth it.

I think I have mentioned before, but it is worth repeating: GET A GOVERNMENT JOB!

There are HUNDREDS of Federal jobs that anyone with the background of the OP are totally qualified to do. Some of these pay $40K+ a year. That is solid income anywhere.
