Food laced with enough chemicals to preserve a hamburger for 3 years is a gastric surprise to some of us!

Who does that?

One thing I've noticed is that regular old white bread now has so many preservatives that it goes moldy before it goes stale. Used to be the bread would get stale and hard long before it would go rotten. Now you can reach in the package, feel soft bread, pull it out and make a peanut butter sandwich, bite in AND THEN notice the bread had green spots.

Bread is best bought from bakeries that use no chemicals. I rarely buy mass produced commercial bread now. There is a big difference.

Yeah, but for some things plain old packaged white bread like Butternut is the best. Like with peanut butter, liver sausage or crusty fried Spam.

I recall an article about a woman who purchased a hamburger and fries from Mcdonalds and left it to sit out. She took a picture years later and everything had looked EXACTLY the same; it didn't rot, disintegrate or mold. It just became hard as a rock.

The story went viral and an enraged Mcdonalds responded with, "Our hamburgers are all natural 100% beef; we use only salt and pepper and nothing else."

This has obviously got to be a crock of you know what. There is all kinds of weird stuff in processed foods served in fast food eateries. I literally can't eat fast food without having to make a bathroom run 30 minutes later.

Back in the mid 70s we were building a powerhouse out in Grundy County and used to take long lunches at a tavern in Coal City called Bums. They used to do a nice liver sausage sandwich; a huge single slice on white bread with this really killer home made horseradish that was made a Local 444 Joliet ironworker known, appropriately enough, as Horseradish Joe.

It was not years later. It was a 6 months later. We don't know what the woman's agenda is nor do we know if she cheated with the "experiment." The first picture seems to be a very different Happy Meal than the other pics.

McDonald's Happy Meal bought by Sally Davies shows no sign of mould after 6 months | Mail Online

Here someone blasts her claim with a more acceptable experiment:

"Well, well, well. Turns out that not only did the regular McDonald's burgers not rot, but the home-ground burgers did not rot either. Samples one through five had shrunk a bit (especially the beef patties), but they showed no signs of decomposition."

If you make yourself a liberally salted burger with deep fried and salted potatoes, then drink some caffeine filled soda, your stomach feels content and peaceful?
