Nice. Doesn't this chain have at least some semblance of corporate citizenry/social responsibility (I think they're all closed on Sundays and at least try to sell something resembling healthy food)?

Chains I'd like to see in the city are Fazoli's and even more so, Imo's, the St. Louis style pizza regional chain. Absolutely love that stuff and am addicted to it, and wish there would be something here. Surely there's gotta be enough StL transplants here to support at least one!?

I really wish we had a place to get a Chicago-style deep dish pizza. Or a hot dog!

I do not think there is a high demand for fast food Italian. And the demand that there is already is covered by places like Portillo's,Olive Garden, and 10,000 small one- off fast food places.

There are a couple Fazoli's within an hour drive of Chicago though. I have been to a couple in other states while traveling-it is preferable to McDonald's or Burger King-but would I go there on a regular basis if there was one close to me in the city? Nah.

It is getting tougher and tougher to find good deep-dish. The amount of good pizza places are shrinking every year.

There's a place called New York Bagels on Touhy near the Edens Expressway that is quite awesome. And Bruegger's bagels are somewhat close to what you might get in New York (i.e. kettle boiled before baked, etc). There's a Bruegger's in Oak Park and more locations will open soon.

I can't stand the sight, smell, or thought of bagels after working at a bagel factory for a year and a half. And that was 15 years ago.

Nothing beat coming home every day smelling like an onion bagel every day.

Good to know! I have seen New York Bagels before (I think)..isn't there one on North Ave. by the Best Buy? I will have to check it out for sure. Haven't heard of Bruegger's but will keep an eye out...Thanks!
