I don't know anyone who actually lives in the city and goes to the Taste every year.....

It's kinda something you do once or twice and then avoid like the plague.

That's cold.

You can get botulism, too. Both are bigger risks in the summer. To avoid most of those problems, only buy food you see come out of a fryer and drink bottled water. The problem is you will miss out on why you wanted to attend "Taste of Chicago" to begin with.
