Smile Crown Plaza Hotel

We may be coming for a business meeting - 6 days. This is the hotel. It's $139 per night which seems OK. I grew up in the North Shore area until I was 11 or so, then moved to South Florida. I am now married with almost grown kids and would love to show them where I grew up and Chicago.

Is this is a good hotel? Can we walk to everything?

We would be there from July 27 to August 2nd.

I would also have a lot of time during the day to sightsee and hang out with my kids (young adults) so any suggestions would be great.

Here is a link to 119 individual reviews of the hotel: CROWN PLAZA HOTEL CHICAGO - Google Maps

The hotel is located near Madison and Halsted in the Greektown area a few blocks west of the Loop. Due to the location, it would not be my first choice. It will be convenient for walking into the Loop part of downtown. I personally have found most tourists prefer staying on North Michigan Avenue since there is a lot more to do, nice stores, shops, restaurants.

I can't speak for the interior of the Crown Plaza (I assume you are referring to the one on Madison and not the other location by O'Hare). Hope the reviews are helpful.
