got a ticket...
so I double-parked, hauling my stuff out of the car, had my blinking lights on. cop says she drove twice already and saw that my car was still there. ok $100 for double parking. Tried to pay for this ticket online, I saw that the plate number they took from me was 1 letter wrong. Should I even pay for this? I haven't gotten a notice about anything yet, and since they have the wrong plate number, they could not possibly "trace" me now could they?
Am I off the hook?

I gotta a ticket and they misspelled my plate and I never paid and I think I got away with it too!
They thought a "D" was a "O" - ya gotta write carefully! Like Z's and 2's are similar too! As well as 8' and B's!

Search your plate online again. If it aint there, don't pay it. I believe all the cops have is your license info since they didn't have your drivers license number to tie anything back.

lucky guy. i got two $100 double parking tickets 3 minutes apart right outside my apartment when i was moving stuff. then on the drive home i was so furious i was kinda speeding and got a speeding ticket (70mph on 90/94) for 175 bucks (online traffic school) on the way home......
i called them and got one of the double parking tickets cancelled. but still.... what a ****ty day that was.

You guys aren't too bright about this. You can get parking signs from the city for a date/time block for the section of the street in front of where you're moving to put out days ahead of when you move so that you don't have to double park.

i was dropping off groceries and had to grab my laundry and a shirt for an interview the next day. seems like quite a lot of effort to reserve a time slot every time i wanna drop off groceries.

^^Some of us don't have alleys. I park illegally every time I go grocery shopping. After four years at my current address, I've still never been ticketed.
