I have one day in Chicago

I want to leave O'Hare, go to the Art Institute then have deep dish pizza for dinner then back to the airport.

Please tell me exactly what transport to use to get to and from airport and where to have the best pizza and how to get there from the Art Institute.

Thank you and I look forward to visiting your city.

SummerShi

Default blue line from O'Hare

The Blue Line subway train departs from O'Hare Airport. O'Hare is the "end of the line" so you won't have any problem determining which direction to travel (just take any blue line train).

Follow the signs in the airport that say "Rapid Transit". You will be routed downstairs to baggage claim and then continue to follow the "Rapid Transit" signs which will route you down one more level to a pedestrian tunnel and eventually you will reach the CTA (Chicago Transit-Blue Line) where you can purchase your ticket from a machine and then proceed down the final escalator to the platform.

Get off the train at the "Monroe St" stop and walk east (toward Lake Michigan) a few blocks to the corner of Monroe St and S. Michigan Avenue. The Art Institute will be across the street at 111 South Michigan Ave.

The entire train ride will take about 50 minutes and walking from the stop to the Art Institute will be about 10 minutes or so.

I will need to let someone else advise you about deep dish pizza

Have a good trip

The CTA Blue Line goes all the way out to O'Hare and will take you into downtown and drop you off within 3 blocks of the Art Institute. As for Chicago-style stuffed pizza, IMO the best in the area is Edwardo's on Dearborn just south of Congress.
