I took a great bike ride along the lakefront a(on what I assume was) that day and noticed the skyline looked hazy, too. But assuming that day was the 4th (or 5th) of July, I chalked up the haziness to residual fireworks smoke.

Love all of your pix!

That first boat tour shot of the skyline creates a variety of moods. I never saw that view of the city on my 2-day visit in 1994. And have never seen it anywhere else in print.

Is that tall tower in the middle the new Trump condo? Is it now complete and open? Anybody know?
