Heading to Chicago to bring my wife and daughter (12) to see the blue man group. It's been years since I have been up there....Is the neighbrohood where the blue man group is playing pretty safe?
All the planning and the girls are most excited about just shopping down town

Yeah. There are many gays and still some "weirdos" around there but most are pretty harmless.

I live not very far from there and I'd say yes, it's about as safe as any big-city neighborhood can be. Always lots of people around that area.

Filene's is sort of like TJ Maxx or Marshall's, i.e. brand name clothes at discounted prices. It's a very popular place to shop, my wife loves it. There are two locations near downtwn, one is on State Street, the other is on Michigan Avenue.
