Go to the Walmart in Niles on Golf Road by Golf Mill. It is beautiful! The employees are a lot friendlier and more knowledgable, better stock, and the store is massive. The one on Touhy sucks big time. If I have to go in there, I go for one or two things because trying to manuever a cart in that freaking store is a nightmare.

agree. granted, I don't have any Walmarts to compare it to (the only other one I've been to is the one near Midway Airport. no clue what town/suburb that is!), but I swear this has to be one of the worse stores I've ever been to! I made the HUGE mistake of going there once last late August and it was pure mayhem. my toes got run over by carts no fewer than a dozen times, stuff was dumped all over the floors, and parents just let their spawn run amok in that store. I've been to other stores during the "back to school" craziness and that was by far the worst experience. even at other times, the customer service is shoddy and the lines are ridiculous. I only go there when I absolutely must get something there and can't get it from Target (I don't find things to be that much cheaper at Walmart, at least not to the point of dealing w/ that mess of a store)

I do believe the building formerly housed another store before Walmart moved in.
If I am correct ( I am pretty sure I am-I want to say it once was a Circuit City or Eagle food store but I can't remember) the building was not built for Walmart thus the Walmart corp tried to cram a regular sized Walmart plan-o-gram in a smaller then normal sized building for a Walmart.
