Why is this so unbelievable? I live in an older 4-flat building and went by the rule of "hand written for rent sign=best deal"

It's around 1,800 sqrft and near by LaSalle elementary. That's as close as you're getting, bub.

No, Old Town Triangle is the area bounded by North, Clark, and Ogden, back when Ogden used to run all the way to Clark.

Drover is right, though you sould probably be wary of anything called "West Old Town" or other buildings/developments with "Old Town" in the title that are actually very close to Cabrini. It is an old Chicago realtor trick to extend the boundaries of desirable neighborhoods into no-so-desirable neighborhoods ("West Bucktown" comes to mind, though it is actually pretty nice now--so the trick worked). Cabrini may not be what it once was, but I still wouldn't want to live too close.

Stay at home a few more years, save a buttload of money, and ride out the financial storm. Then you can come out like a pimp when you are 27 or so.

I originally always thought this way too...but I feel that it would actually help me to move out as I'd be more responsible and motivated to work.

If you really want to build character and save money live in a one bedroom or studio without the in unit washer and dryer, parking space, fitness center, etc for under $800. Then save a buttload of money and be a pimp in a few years.

That should make you motivated to work. When your bank account is growing by leaps and bounds every month you will have plenty of motivation.
