I know that technically it starts Saturday, but I have an out of town friend asking if there is anything to see on Friday- I seem to recall they do test flights in the afternoon, does anyone know anything more specific? Is it worth setting up a blanket and picnic basket Friday afternoon along the lake in the downtown area or that stretch of lakefront by the Planetarium?

They'll be all over the place Friday. You can already hear them this morning.

The Blue Angels actually added a shortened Friday 'show' last year...it has been traditional that practice runs happen most of the late week ( I was surprised to hear the T-birds today ) .. Don't know if they'll be an 'official' show Friday afternoon or just a long dress rehearsal ..certainly worth it ..

thanks - I know they do the test runs and everything all week, just wasn't sure how frequent they are, I think I've been blocking out the noise for a few decades now.

^ Who needs to go to the Air and Water show to find girls? As we speak I have two over. One is in the shower. The other is laying in my bed beckoning me to get off the computer. ^

Yesterday they gave a ride to a CFD gentleman who had rescued a 2 year old from the Lake .. the T-Birds have some 'Local Hero' program where the LH is awarded a 45 - 60 minute ride ..Pretty Cool !! ..Haven't checked the web yet to see if Friday will be 'official' or not .. but you can be sure either way they'll be buzzing downtown .. and they'll nail Wrigley or the Cell at least once ... I forget who they startled right off the mound a few years ago

Yet you cannot resist the urge to reply to a question about the air and water show on an internet message board.

We've all been there before.
