The challenge will be finding a sublease or temporary situation that meets your exact timeframe.
Craigslist is a very good option. However, I would check out their "sublet/temporary" apartment listings:

There are also corporate apartments in Chicago but these are typically very expensive.

You can try to get a room at the YMCA in Niles. The thing is they dont have cooking facilities. They only have microwaves in the snack areas.
