Parking near Palmer House? (Chicago, Grant Park: hotel, garage, car)

We're staying at Palmer House next week for our first night away from the baby, yay! Anyways, they have $51 valet parking with in/out priv. and we will be heading out to a concert that night and coming back, so that's a good thing. However I was wondering if there is a cheaper option than this? We're not taking a cab to United Center b/c we don't want to deal with trying to find on after the show. Is there parking near the hotel that is cheaper?

Grant Park Garage is one block east of the Palmer House. Mid-Continent Plaza Self-Park is a half-block east (and probably where the hotel valet is putting your car anyway).
