Default Intersection of Humboldt Blvd and Cortland - how safe?
Hello,

I'm about to move to Humboldt Blvd and Cortland, and it seemed alright when I visited it. However, after reading some threads here about Humboldt Park, I'm starting to have misgivings. Would someone please give their opinion about that particular area?

There was just an incident last Saturday at Armitage and Richmond. Two people were shot and there was a gang stand off at 6 PM. There has been a good deal of gang activity from Altgeld to Armitage along Humboldt Blvd since June. This area tends to be worse then 3 blocks north or 3 blocks south because it is very close to the border of Logan Square and Humboldt Park and the territory is contested by a few different gangs.
