The three big guns in the city are Latin School, Francis Parker, and University Lab (affiliated with the University of Chicago). Also worth considering are St. Ignatius, Morgan Park Academy, and if you don't mind suburban schools, North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka, Benet Academy in Lisle, Chicagoland Jewish in Deerfield, and Willows Academy in Des Plaines.

yes, consider Chicagoland Jewish in Deerfield! I'm sure they support a diversity initiative with subsidized tutition and would love to have Chinese students there. Christo Rey in Chicago is a good school that would embrace Chinese students as well, I'm sure.

I toured Fox River Country Day school (in Elgin off Hwy 90).... Though it's not close to the city, it did seem like the majority or boarding students were Asian and learning English...

Fox River Country Day School | Chicago Junior School

oops... Just realized this is a K - 8 school. Since they have a number of International Asian students, maybe you can call and ask which H.S. the kids attend...

Here is an article in the Korean Times about the school (do not ask me to translate):

Hi. =)

I would really suggest looking into St. Ignatius college prep in Chicago.
It's a very, very, very good school.

I know a couple people who went to Morgan Park Academy,
and I heard nothing but good stuff. It seems like a good school. =)
