The people I work with calculated it out and I spend 26 DAYS a year commuting... DEPRESSING!
Holy Hannah! That is awful!

Hypothetically the poster could live within walking distance of the station, yes?

Although she has since made it known that she lives in the city and commutes to suburbia.

I read through the study and its criteria, and all I can say is:

"I fly by penguin to work and beat all the traffic" carries as much weight.

wow, you're making way to big a deal out of my comment.

the first comment is pretty true, you can definitely sleep or do something more interesting than cursing at other drivers while you're on the train, right? unless I experience Metra a lot differently than you do?

then HYPOTHETICALLY she COULD live within walking distance of the train station IF she did live in Naperville and DID have the money to live near the station and had to commute into the city, yes? am I wrong?

that's all i was trying to say, and you had to take my comment out of context, for whatever reason.

good. for. you. have a nice holiday.

Holy crap. Have a couple drinks or something.

And all I'm saying is that it's not practical for everyone to live right near a train station. I didn't realize that was such a provocative notion.

Why would the OP drive and park at the Naperville station??? That would serve no purpose.

In what way serve no purpose? It would greatly reduce her transit time to the city during rush hour and make for a much more comfortable and pleasant trip. Even if she had to hop a bus on the other end, she will get there a faster than driving in rush hour.
