Hello, I'm going to visit the city by october 11 for the Marathon, so far this is my list of places to visit:

-Sears Tower
-Millenium Park
-Shedd Aquarium
-Navy Pier
-The Art Institute of Chicago
-Hancock tower

Do you think am I missing any place?, also what is a good place to have a beer?

What kind of bar do you like? More club? More pub?

I really enjoy the margaritas at Blue Agave (watch out though, they're strong!). I like Blue Agave in general... it's not too loud, has great food, and yet feels like a bar (it's a restaurant and bar) where you can talk to people you aren't necessairly sitting with. I like to talk to new people, so I enjoy it a lot. There are lots of bars near Blue Agave, which is nice if you wanted to start the night out there for dinner and move around to a few places. It is in the "Viagra Triangle" area, which I find amusing to people watch in.

I personally would skip Navy Pier unless you like watching other tourists. Do something like this CAF Tours (http://www.architecture.org/tour_view.aspx?TourID=8 - broken link) instead. The Chicago Architecture Foundation has amazing tours and they still do the river cruises in October, or maybe a Devil in the White City tour. They have a bunch of cool ones.

Default second city

Must see a play at Chicago's own second city and if possible improv olympic, must hit the bars on Wells in bucktown. Must see sports game (Bulls, Bears, White Sox, Cubs, whatever). Must see Natural History Museum and Museum of Science and Industry, and Art Institute, and

Bobby's bike hike is fun.

Thanks for answering, we're planning to go see Chicago Bulls, we also heard Giordano's is one of the best "pizzerias", what do you guys think about Brookfield Zoo?

Saludos

if you have time, but it's outside the city. Lincoln Park zoo would get you an animal fix without taking up your whole day. The Peggy Noetebaert (sp) is right there, too. It's a nature museum that is pretty nice. Havent been in a while.

absolutely! Try Oak Street or Lincoln Park or Lakeview or Lincoln Square or Andersonville, depending on what you're looking for.

i'd do hancock tower over sears (cough*whatever the new name is) tower. hancock has a very short wait, while it might take you an hour or 2 just to get up to the sears* tower.

giordanos is great, yes! if it's 2 people, don't get a medium pizza!!!! a small pizza filled three of us up with a small appetizer.

Lincoln Park has lots of shopping options. try the area around armitage, hasted, webster. Another option is the area on North Ave just west of Haslted, where you can find lots of stores.
