Who knows where to get some good apple cider donuts in Chicago. I haven't had any for a while and they sound delicious.

Oh they are so amazing. I've been eating like two a week. The best ones in Chicagoland are at County Line Orchard in Hobart, IN but they may be closed for the season. Here in town, Dinkels on Lincoln and School makes them pretty well.

Default Cider donuts

I've been looking, too, and discovered good ones at Tag's Bakery on Central Street in Evanston. Relieved not to have to drive for an hour to get some!!!

You're only going to find true cider mill donuts at an actual cider mill...out in the country. However, I cannot recommend enough Dinkel's donuts! All of their baked goods are outstanding, but they do specifically make 'apple cider' donuts. They're so addictive!

I'll second the rec for the apple cider donuts at Dinkel's, that's probably my favorite donut place I've found on the north side by far. It's unfortunate how much all of Chicago is littered with below mediocre Dunkin' Donuts everywhere. Yuck!

If you're ever on the far south side, don't forget to go by Old Fashioned Donuts at 113th and Michigan and get several apple fritters, that place is amazing(and so are their donuts). Their apple fritters are seriously the best ones I've ever had, and worth a trip that far south alone just for that. They're closed on Sundays, and I forget at the moment if they're cash only or not. I know their credit card/cash status is mentioned on yelp....
