I think thats a failure on the city's part to better market it. It dosent help that its so disjointed, either. But yea, assuming you know all the tricks its definitely possible to stay indoors and traverse a wide swath of the Loop.

I have never been to Montreal,but I have been to Toronto. Toronto's PATH system blows Chicago's pedway out of the water. There really is not even a comparison.

Oh, I know we aren't even close. But like I said, its basically just a bunch of underground stores. Im not a fan of "underground cities" in general because they seem to take foot traffic away from the streets above. Which I realize is the whole point, but it deadens the urban atmosphere and kind of makes the above ground seem like a ghost town.

What would be neat would be "arcades" in the style of those you find in Paris. Now those things are cool
