Default Washington Park and Jackson Park

I have been seeing a lot of condo renovations as well as new condo builds around Washington Park and Jackson Park. Anyone have any thoughts about these two areas? How about schools there?

Default WA Pk & Jackson Pk

Jackson Park takes in a lot of area in South Shore. The Jackson Park Highlands is a place of single family homes a lot like Hyde Park or Kenwood. Washington Park is the area to the north of the park from 51st street to 47th street around Provident Hospital. They're doing a lot of condo conversions in that area. You should not that Daley is trying to put the 2016 Olympics in that area, also.

WA Park in on the rebound. There are still a lot of vacant lots waiting for new construction. There are a number of new condo conversions on the west side of the park on King Drive from 55th (Garfield) to 60th st. Jackson Park could comprise several different neighborhoods so it is difficult to determine what particular area is being referred to.

For public schools in the area, try for a magnet school or shell out for private school. Dyett School actually is in Washington park but has it problems, particularly for girls.
