I inherited an old-fashioned pocket watch from my father after he passed away. The thing hasn't worked for some time, and I've been meaning to get it fixed. Does anyone know of a good place I can take it to? There are plenty of places to go, but I'd like a recommendation with a little more substance than what I'd find on Yelp, so if anyone has a place they swear by, I'd appreciate your opinion.

Thanks!

If anyone else can recommend a place to go, I'd appreciate it.

If it is a quality piece you should probably call someplace like Smart Jewelers in Lincolnwood or MJ Watch Service in Glenview they both have a few really skilled guys in house that do maintenance and rebuilds for high end wristwatches / pocket watches. They are pretty good about making referrals to smaller guys too. There are couple of good guys on Wabash still, but I can't find their cards in my desk now...
