Heck, you found some mighty nice looking streets, and some dramatic crime (probably) scenes. My old neighborhood doesn't look nearly that good, now, but I do the "everyblock" thing, and it doesnt look like there is much violent crime there, either. . . just plenty of poor folks!

Not sure where your "old" neighborhood is, but if you're referring to Englewood, it has one of the highest violent crime rates in the city. The murder rate in Englewood (whether just Englewood or conflating Englewood and West Englewood together, which is generally what I mean by "Englewood") is about 8 times the national average and nearly three times the city's already unacceptably high average.
