Explain THE "Job" (that's a long 'O') trial you've had in your life. How did you come out of it in the end? Or are you still in it?

Hi cityflair,
sometimes it seems as though the trials never end! And then again, sometimes it seems like the blessings never do, either..!
Although I'm not perfect like Job was before his trial, there have been some moments which were hard at the time, yet God was faithful to lead me through.
I remember going through some difficult moments where, at one point, it came to mind that ALL things come to us from God. I won't say instantly, but the change was very quick, because we can truly rest in God, if we trust that all is coming solely because He directs it to be so.
The "sting" of the suffering is taken out, and we are able to praise Him and know that He will bring it all to a good end.
At that point, victory is in sight!

I'm hoping that the Lord will lead me to whatever extreme difficulty He sees fit in order to become more and more trusting, all the while thanking Him for His Son.
I know that may sound "fanatical," but I am truly convinced that, when we whine and murmur in our hearts, thinking that we could have done things better ourselves, we become out of "harmony" with the Spirit. Our spiritual center is to praise and thank Him, no matter what the situation.

I think I'm starting to ramble..

blessings!
brian

Yes, Brian. I agree with all you said! When I acknowledged that my difficult time was my "Job trial" from the Lord, that seemed to make things more manageable. It was like an ah-ha moment, and I felt relieved. The Lord is just shaping me. Making me more like Jesus. I think, as end times approach, we are going to be pressed and shaped harder and faster. It may hurt a little. That's why we need to encourage one another. Thanks for answering.

Thank you, cityflair! It's encouraging to hear what He's doing in your life, too.
I hear ya about the shaping faster and faster. "He must increase, but I must decrease!" And when we look back, it starts make sense, too.

Too bad all of us here can know each other only through the Internet, but it's still a great blessing all the same!

blessings!

Sometimes, when all else seems confusing, "He must increase, but I must decrease" is the easiest way to iron everything out. Then it all makes sense. :-)
