Revelation 8:8

The second angel sounded his trumpet, and something like a huge mountain, all ablaze, was thrown into the sea. A third of the sea turned into blood, 9a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.

Am-I the only one that think about the oil spill in Mexico? If they can`t stop it, a third (Atlantic) of the sea will be thurn into blood and kill the third of the creature.

I know, I do not have any explaination for the first trumpet and it could be something totally diferent, but I just wanted to point it out

Not by any means a bible scholar, or theologian, but I have a gut feeling that... that "spill" is a precursor of things to come!

Here's a link that I keep bookmarked and like to refer back to it time and time again. Make no mistakes, the BIBLE is the FINAL AUTHORITY of all that was, that is, and that which is to come. Ask God sincerely to help you to understand the books of Daniel, Ezekiel and Revelation. It all there....

The First Four Trumpets

Blessings to you, Betsey

I agree Betsey. It's not the second trumpet, we are still here. It is a sign of things to come.

The purpose of the events of the revelation (the revealing) is to bring forth Christ from within us. It's the revelation of Jesus.

The purpose of Revelation is reveal the full identity of Christ and to give warning to unbelievers and hope to believers.
