Hmmm, the Lord has not returned. Is Mrs White still alive?

Adventists explain this away by referring to Jesus having done the same.

There are several passages in the gospels where Jesus says he will return in the disciples' lifetime (Mark 13:30, Matthew 10:23, 16:28, 24:34, Luke 21:32, etc.).

So was Jesus a false prophet too? Shrug, I don't know about that to be honest because nobody has been able to explain how Jesus could have gotten it so wrong

Comments Regarding Unusual Statements Found In Ellen G. White's Writings

Jerusalem Never to Be Rebuilt?

Ellen G. White wrote in 1851 that "old Jerusalem never would be built up." [1] By itself, the statement looks unsustainable. But when the setting is reconstructed, we find Mrs. White counseling the growing Adventist group that both time-setting [2] and the "age-to-come" notion [3] were incompatible with Biblical truth. She emphasized that the Old Testament prophecies regarding the establishment of a Jewish kingdom in Palestine were conditional on obedience and forfeited by disobedience. Unfulfilled prophecies would be fulfilled to "true Israel" as unfolded in the New Testament text.

For further study of this topic, see Julia Neuffer, "The Gathering of Israel," in the Reference Library.

These alleged errors (like the one's the critics of the Bible throw up) usual depend on a literalistic and simplistic reading of the text.

Note that he didn't give you the quote or source for such a thing. He can't, because she didn't. He is a proven and self-confessed liar. You quite literally cannot trust anything he says.

JohnC10,
Do you believe God created the heavens and the earth in six days, consisting of 24 hours? Or do you believe in evolution?
