Matthew 5:5 The meek shall inherit the earth.

Revelation 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, THE TABERNACLE OF GOD IS WITH MEN, AND HE WILL DWELL WITH THEM, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. (He will dwell with us, not us dwelling with him!)

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.

The NEW JERUSALEM is paradise restored...this is how I interpret these verses...

I was made on earth, so on earth I stay with my God, who walks in his garden in the cool of the day to rest...

Isaiah 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the EARTH is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

Blessings...

Verna, yes, he senses the time is short and wants to take as many souls with him to HELL as he can. We know he will appear to many as an "angel of light" in order to achieve his purpose.

Please see my post on the thread called "Should Christians Judge?" I address in a quick outline form how I see this deception at work in the Church today.

As a wise friend always reminds me though--REMEMBER GOD IS IN CONTROL.

Yes, I do.

Or is it spiritual and only inhabited by that which is spirit?
I believe it's real, and that it will be inhabited by real resurrected beings (i.e. us).

Quote:
What do you think we will do there? I mean, will we spend all our days worshiping God in song?
I expect to be continuing to learn and grow and progress. I doubt our ability to do so will suddenly come to a screeching halt.

Do people in heaven need to eat (and thus go to the restroom)? Somehow I doubt it! I just can't see the need for toilet paper in heaven.
I don't believe we will have the same physical needs we have here on earth, so no.

Will we have any work to do?
God's work, quite possibly, but I don't believe anything we do will seem like work.

Quote:
Will we need to sleep or rest?
Probably not, although since sleeping is one of my all-time favorite activities, I may miss it!

Will we be able to meet people we've heard of from past history, or will everyone have a New Name/Identity that is not earthly?
We may not be known by the same names as we're known by here, but I believe we'll be able to meet people we knew in this life and some we didn't but wanted to.

[quote]These are just some things I ponder at times and of course none of us really knows for certain, but I thought it would be a nice change from all the discussions currently going on about hell around here.{/qyite]LOL! That's for sure!

My husband will want to play golf 24-7. Does that mean I'll continue to be a golf widow?

By "Daddy," I'm assuming you are referring to your earthly father, who has passed away, and not to your Heavenly Father. Am I right?

WRONG!! My DADDY'S face....said that already. My biological father still lives. God bless his heart. See, my DADDY and I, have a very close intimate relationship, and whether it's through tears, prayers, or praise, we talk, amen? He told me I can call Him DADDY and He answers me! I love my DADDY!

Don't twist it.......

Why would you think I would twist it, Betsey? I don't do stuff like that. The reason I assumed you were talking about your biological father (I hadn't read your other post, by the way) was that I didn't think most Christians believed that their Heavenly Father had a face. Or did you just mean that figuratively? (Don't get mad and accuse me of twisting your words. I'm seriously just wondering why you would say you're going to see His face if you believe He's just a spirit.)
