www.religiousforums.com is a good forum, though not specifically Christian. There are subforums for debate and others just to learn about different religions.

What next??

Anyone else have similar experiences?

The one linked below is laid back & slow paced with a focus on in-depth discussion & study from a Christian perspective.
Christian Fellowship - Ephesians 4 Forum (http://compassoc.com/eph4-13/ - broken link)

So the other night I had insomnia, it was 3:00 am. and I thought what the heck...I checked out this forum.....one of the sub pages I think it was called Everything But the Kitchen Sink....started reading a poster that states he talks to ETers....and not the Eternal Torment ones but the Extraterrestial ones and they don't sound like they are very nice ETers... scared the wits out of me But there are many other topics that I will have to check out soon. Thanks Katzpur!

Nice!!!!!
Ya know, the more I look around the Internet, and the more I investigate various denominations, the more I see how man will exclude, judge, condemn (and if possible, kill) another man just for the sake of his doctrine.
I agree with one who said that a fundamentalist is one who puts doctrine before love.
God IS love, folks! THIS is my "doctrine." Love the Lord thy GOD with all thy heart, soul strength and mind. And Love thy neighbor as thyself.

Blessings to all here,
brian

If that is your doctrine, then you should live it. You can start by omitting all the comments about how sick, twisted, proud and arrogant all the Christians are because they believe what they believe. If you can do that, then you might be taken seriously when you talk about loving your neighbor. Just an idea...

Hi Finn,
I agree with you that we are not to insult other people, this is not a fruit of the Spirit, either.
I don't think I have used the words "sick" nor "twisted." But if I'm wrong, please show me, I immediately apologize.

The words "proud" and "arrogant" were not used to belittle their person These were simply observations of the attitudes of many Christians I meet, and I believe they have this attitude due to their doctrine of "I'm in, you're out." I still love them as brothers and sisters, the two are not contradictory.

If someone yells at me, does it mean that I don't love them simply because I tell them they are angry?

We ALL need rebuking at times, me included. This doesn't mean we have to put each other down.
Am I wrong?

Blessings,
brian

Actually, in the five years I've posted on that forum, I have yet to see one debate between ETers and URers. In that respect, it's totally different from CD.
