Little Elmer,

The exegesis you provided only deals with the saint who was a sinner, not a disembodied soul with no flesh. I am not seeing your point, as it appears you have provided ample foundation for mine.

Again, you put words where none are spoken.
Your tactic is predictable again.

You wrote ...

I have faith that Christ defeated death for those who were held captive by it, who were righteous and believed.

None are righteous, not even you. The only one who is righteous is Christ, whose righteousness is imparted unto us, the ungodly. You and I and everyone else who has ever lived are ungodly. We are all unrighteous and ungodly of ourselves.

The dispensation of the fullness of times is the ages of ages. Or the end of the ages ... All will be made one together in Christ, this has not occurred yet. As most people are not even Christian and serve false Gods. All will be made one together in Christ when every knee bows and every tongue confesses that Christ is lord. That has not yet happened obviously ...

harboring unforgiveness is worse for the offendee than for the offender. It also creates a stronghold from which torment ensues....to break the yoke of sin of either, one needs to get it out...we're already cleansed and forgiven..the cross did that.... but if you want to talk God as the gospel and 1 John teach, leave your gifts at the altar, go and reconcile with your brother and come back...for couples, they need to come to God as one unless as it is written" their prayers are hindered" God does have a standard....it would appear.

This is where you are wrong. Before belief, you are unrighteous.
When you confess in Christ, your imputation of sin and death is poof! Gone!

This is the ENTIRE foundation of the Christ's salvific effort!

At the close of that dispensation is when Jewish Israel is resurrected and joined as a wife with the Gentiles as one body, one bride. It is at that close of this age when Israel, Jew and Gentile, every one of them, bows before Christ, every tongue confesses. This is what Isaiah 45 speaks of. This is not about "all people" from every tribe, nation and tongue confessing that Christ is Lord. This is ONLY regarding Israel, who have come out of every tribe, people, nation and tongue, including Ethnic Israel whom Paul was part of.

Isa 45:25 In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

Isn't arguing God's word fun? Protestantism = (man + bible + books + non-original glasses) x opinion.

77To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, 78Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, Luke 1

21And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness: Leviticus 16

Interesting that it's Aaron doing the confessing of the sins and iniquities of the children of Israel .

The pattern for us is the same for creation. If you'll notice, the pattern begins with the Son, then the sons, and finally the harvest.

Rev 5:13
and every creature that is in the heaven, and in the earth, and under the earth, and the things that are upon the sea, and the all things in them, heard I saying, `To Him who is sitting upon the throne, and to the Lamb, [is] the blessing, and the honour, and the glory, and the might -- to the ages of the ages!'

Everything in creation, in heaven and in earth and under the earth and on the sea and in the sea will confess unto God and say "blessing and honor and glory and might ....

Again Mike and Sciotamicks would have us believe that all things means only Israel, or all things means one thing ... So they dont believe that in truth every knee shall truly bow and confess unto God as the scriptures plainly declare.

You decide who you believe is twisting scriptures ...
