June - I was a vegetarian for about 3 or 4 years back in highschool - and then I didn't eat beef still for about 3 more years or so. Guess what I crave all the time now? BEEF!!! I didn't realize that I liked it so much until after I began eating it again!
When you come over - I'll make some skirt steak! It's my new favorite thing!

June and Dewdrop, would you believe that for thanksgiving dinner...I had Rib Eye and two glasses of Bushmans Gully Cabernet Sauvignon, followed by ballroom dancing which I regretted the next day......forgot old bones just couldn't cope with too much eating/drinking and activity anymore...

Have a good day...

Oh Man! STEAK!! June and Dewdrop have made me HUNGRY!

There is a butcher here in Mid-Hudson Valley, NY that is hooked up with the local farmers that raise Black Angus steers. He cuts me the tastiest sirloins I've ever eaten.

I keep the grill on the back patio year round. I'll be grilling steaks in the middle of February...in a blizzard!

That's it! I'm going to the supermarket right now to buy a big NY Strip! Hmmmm...gotta check my A-1 Steak Sauce inventory............

Later! Peace and Luv to all!!

In some restaurants in Europe, when you ask for sauce for your steak...it's considered an insult to the Chef...

Peace!

My favorite time to grill was always in the winter when it was quiet, dark and cold, no bugs, wrapped up snugly, listening to the sizzling meat and smelling the chimney smoke in the air.

You two crack June up! She thought her ex-husband was the only one who insisted on grilling steaks all year round! Personally, June thought the guy was a bit nuts when he went outside in the dead of winter one February night in a foot of snow with freezing rain, holding an umbrella, to cook up a steak on the grill for dinner....Guess June had it all wrong. She had no idea that there were other "year round steak grilling fanatics" out there in the world! (Which she types with the greatest of affection, except for the ex-husband, whom June still thinks was kinda nuts!)

Everyone around here grills in the dead of winter, too! And you can bet the hubby will be one of them! After all the money we spent on this grill - he'd better use it year round!!!

Ans - your Thanksgiving sounds like it was a whole lot of fun! What's a few aches and pains afterwards compared to living it up while you can!!!

Yeah, how does the saying go? "The spirit is willing but the flesh is already weak...," especially when the DI is an old fogey who twirls you around until you want to either just collapse or punch him on the nose for showing off...-

I thought so Dewdrop 'cept it took me two days to recuperate...
