Woooooooo. Pig. Sooie!

I can sure empathize with you. I had to shut down a family owned business and file a personal bankruptcy (giving up cars and home) about 10 years ago. There were times in the last couple of years prior to making the decision to close and bankrupt that I had to deal with severe depression and some very low thoughts. The best thing I found was to find people to talk to about it. Not people who would just tell me everything will be ok but people who would let me vent and get mad and cry and just be there for me.

One very important thing I learned was to keep things in perspective. Once I came to the realization that it was money and things which are nice to have but hold no eternal value it helped me let go of them. Actually the closing of the business and filing bankruptcy was the first steps to getting my life back on track. It was letting those things go that I spent so much time worrying about that can all be replaced. The important things are my relationship with God, my family and my health. It is a journey we must make to find that balanced life to reach and maintain a place where the rough sea's only bounce us around and don't make us sink.

Please know that I will be lifting you up to God in my prayers. May God bless you the peace you need as you journey though the world below.

Sorry to hear you are in a down cycle right now.

Elijah is a good person to review as far as someone who was prone to fear and/or discouragement.

Remember that God can shine through our weaknesses.

Look forward to hearing when you bounce back.

Apparently this life is much about our ability to accept change. I think this poem speaks to that.
We are changed by that which we gaze upon. That which we look upon in meditation is the image of Him we hold in our
hearts of the One who never changes.

Mutability
BY PERCY BYSSHE SHELLEY

I.
We are as clouds that veil the midnight moon;
How restlessly they speed and gleam and quiver,
Streaking the darkness radiantly! yet soon
Night closes round, and they are lost for ever:—

II.
Or like forgotten lyres whose dissonant strings
Give various response to each varying blast,
To whose frail frame no second motion brings
One mood or modulation like the last.

III.
We rest—a dream has power to poison sleep;
We rise—one wandering thought pollutes the day;
We feel, conceive or reason, laugh or weep,
Embrace fond woe, or cast our cares away:—

IV.
It is the same!—For, be it joy or sorrow,
The path of its departure still is free;
Man's yesterday may ne'er be like his morrow;
Nought may endure but Mutability.

Utmost sincere and genuine sentiments go out from June, to all, anyone, who is in the midst of feeling and struggling with any form of undue stress. If she could offer more than just her words, she most surely and freely would. But by way of extending whatever words she can possibly provide, with compassion and caring, this:

Take gentle care.

From June.

Hi June -

Thank you. This life is often full of troubles. It's nice to see you are still here -- been so long since I have seen you post anything.

I am looking forward to a change of season... anyone else feel that way?

That's because June has spent the last 60 days in the tropics, taking in the sights of cabana boys who have delivered to her unlimited amounts of margaritas, along with numerous marriage proposals. She has avoided the nude beaches due to her own sense of personal modesty, along with the fact that her body is no longer that of a 21 year old.

P.S. Did you receive June's postcard?
