So bourgeois, I know.
Oh, thank God you're not a guy, herefornow! June was worried there for a minute! (Male bonding, and all....)

As regards a "neat lawn" and your not wishing to end up in jail: June can all too well understand. No reason to "bail out a mod" if you don't have to! I mean, we are in a "recession" ya know!

P.S. I'd think twice before investing in one of those "thermo heat operated" leaf blowers if I were you....You may well end up knocking off a convenience store for bail! LOL!!!

Yep! You sit around loving/listening to dysfunctional people all day, you poor thing, and then you come to these forums and chat with dysfunctional religious souls wandering around in cyberspace.

How do you sleep at night?

I would be a basket case.

Actually, listening to patients all day is what June loves doing. Coming on these forums in between and chatting with "dysfunctional religious souls wandering around in cyberspace" actually calms/de-stresses June.

(Which should give you some insight into poor June's psyche! LOl!)

P.S. June just saw a GREAT deal at Sears for a thermo-heated leaf blower, herefornow! It's a "close out sale" at 50% off!!! ~DM June for details and attached coupons!....

Priorities, priorities. We need a 40,000 grain water softener, pronto, as we have hard water and it's killing off all of our appliances and shower heads, and the pipes under the kitchen sink have been leaking for 6 months. Sigh. Oh, well. I'm afraid there will be no leaf blower for herefornow.

I'm sure I'll get over it.

....Bail June out of jail, and we can work a deal! June knows some good lawyers!

Meanwhile, June oh, so hears you about the kitchen situation....June could use a good plumber once she gets out of jail!

I'm a do-it-yourself-er. Much cheaper that way.

Well, sometimes.

When I'm in need of a lawyer, on the other hand, I'll definitely need your help. I don't think I've got the knowledge to defend myself properly. The passion, yes (read, temper). Knowledge, no. I'm sunk without a lawyer.

Do you think my robbing a bank to bail someone out of jail for murdering a leaf blower is a good defense?

I'm hoping the judge just laughs it off.

Default A test, thanks to Latte'Chic & Herefornow:

To all doggie moms...here's how we want our dogs to be: healthy and rambunctious...

And to all who eat escargot...

My battle is still on...

Sorry...now I'm like a kid in a candy store...

Okay here is a story about my Golden "Oakley". Well our golden boy is our baby now that our youngest son is 18 and so he is one pampered pooch. When he was 8 months old my DH thought it would be nice to take him river fishing with him. You can just picture the scene in your mind. A beautiful Autumn day, the river is flowing, the backdrop of leaves changing beautiful colours of yellow and gold and there is a man fishing there on the rivers shoreline with his beloved Golden Retriever at his side.

You can picture this seen right ?

Well, let's just say it wasn't that way. DH would cast his line out and our Golden boy would jump in the river and want to retriever the line. So after many attempts of "STAY" my husband ties up the dog. Oakley is still a pup and does not like to be tied down so after one hour of barking and crying my DH calls it a day, takes Oakley off of his leash and starts to head back to the car. Oakley sees another fisherman and runs towards him, and immediately bites on the end of the fisherman's rod which was loaded with yummy bait and a 3 pronged hook (Goldens are notorious at being pigs).

Yes he swalled the hook and the line was hanging out of his mouth. My DH tried to gently tug on the line but nope the hook was stuck...stuck in my pooches' tummy.

Long story short. My DH took him immediately to the vet and luckily they did not have to cut him open but they knocked him out and called in a specialist who put a camera/scope down his throat and was able to retrieve the hook with an instrument back out through pooches throat at the tune of $1,000. DH did not tell me anthing until he came home without our dog, sat me down and told me he was okay and we would pick him up the next day.

He has been one expensive pooch but we do love him
