I cannot believe it.....now its my turn for my pooch to have a problem.

I noticed today blood on his muzzle....cleaned it up and it looks swollen. Now a few hours later there are many red sores on his muzzel.... Oh My... I have given him a dose of Benadryl.

Worry sets in

Off to the vet in the a.m.

I hope he's okay! Don't worry - we all always think the worst. It's just because we love them so much!

Hang in there, SisterKat, and please keep us posted as to what the vet says! June remembers a few weeks back when she found blood on her little guy's muzzle, and June just FREAKED! An otherwise calm individual, seeing anything of concern (or more like alarm) going on with my little dog sends June into a tizzy! So please know we all understand your alarm, and know that the vet will get to the bottom of it and have your little guy patched up and doing well hopefully very soon.

Please keep us posted!!!

Vet gave him a shot of prednisone and he is on antiobiotics....found a couple of more legions on the under flips of his ears and in the scrottum erea. He said that a number of things could cause this and it could be serious and may need a biopsy and a specialist. He said he wanted to see him again Monday a.m.

Didn't I just post last night that I felt good about Thanksgiving? Why did I go and do that? I am really worried....dog Mommies thanks for being there but I literally feel sick to my stomach with worry Pray for my Oakley Dokley

Oh dear.

June is hoping that the prednisone and anti-biotics clear up whatever is afflicting your little guy. June "gets" how upset you are; believe June when she says that she would be beside herself! --But also know that there are other 'dog mommies' out here for you, who are more than happy to lend support! June is inclined to say don't panic until you have the follow up visit(s) with the vet. It could very well be that whatever is afflicting your dog could be cleared up by the meds he is on now...Have you thought of posting on the Pet/Dog forum? That's what June did when she detected blood on Misha's muzzle, as she was so out of her 'just June' mind with worry. The members there are incredibly knowledgeable, as well as very reassuring in their posts to concerned pet owners with sick dogs. (Just a suggestion/thought....)

Try and stay calm, and feel better...???

Take extra gentle care,
~June

Thank you June. I have this terrible habit of always thinking the worst. I did take your advice however and post on a pooch forum. It could be a lot of things....ticks...mange, we shall take one day at a time and I will try and remain calm and optimistic
