Yep,Fred Phelps is just a misunderstood guy faithfully preaching the word of God's love that others can't stand to hear.
Doh! :-)

The funny thing is Phelps is obsessed with homosexuality yet that isn't one of the 10 commandments. So I guess the law keeper crowd keeps the 10 plus 1 of the other 603, gee I wonder why they ignore the rest???

A lot of "so-called" Christians are mean spirited but that is not because of the truth of scripture that they are trying to convey, it`s because of their self-rightous attitude towards others. They lack humility before God and have a pious way of looking at themselves.

It's a lot easier for Christians to pick fight online than in real life. They can say all they want, but you must remember that they can't hide from God. And like someone said, don't let their behaviors bother you. If it does so much, then you should leave the place. Don't bother with childish behaviors.

Why are a lot of Christians so mean now?

Answer: Matthew 24:12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,

Christians are not perfectly immune to the worlds conditioning.

But being AWARE of this is important. As Paul said, "what I do that I hate, and what I want to do that I do not"

Only a true born again Christian will be aware of that and say that. Lost people do not.

If a person is having "panic attacks" because of things they are posting online and responses to those posts I think it is time to "unplug". Seriously. Take a break, interact with real live people face to face, get a new perspective. Just my opinion.

I think that if it is Christian interaction that you seek you will find it less confrontational face to face than online. Anonimity gives cowards a platform. Church fellowship face to face affords little place for cowards who may bully to hide.

Mmmm Hmmmm, I concur. When love sounds like hate - it probably is.
