The Best Book for study for any age is the Gospel of John and the Epistle to the Ephesians, give them a clear look at the Lord Jesus with a Kingdom of God vision that builds believers with Solid Foundation for the Rock of Christ...

Can someone recommend a good children's book for me to start with? I would like it to stay as close to the literal Bible stories as possible and for it to have as many stories as possible.

A great book is How God Teaches Kids with ABC's has great stories for children with illustrations that help children follow along while they learn their ABC's you can check out the website at ChildrenandGod.com and the book can be purchased at Amazon.com or Barnes and Noble

Default These are wonderful Bible stories.

If your looking for great bible stories, I would go to PC Treasures. http://www.digitaltreasures.com/digital_ent.php?recordID=201 I just purchased the whole set for my 4 year old son. He loves them and he can read along to them. They're very well illustrated too. He takes them in the car when he goes on road trips too.
