That is as poignant a statement as it is a beautiful one, my dear!

I know that my beliefs are not in line with many - but I have never felt ill at ease in the world. Don't get me wrong - I have gone through some angsty times in my youth (haven't we all!) but I've still always felt at home in my heart. So - I guess I feel love in the world - and I think that is probably similar to what a Christian would feel with their faith.
I was so touched by reading this. I'm happy to know that you feel love in the world. To me, the power of love is the most important thing. Thank you for speaking more love into the world. There is power in the words we speak.

Nice thread.

As a kid, in youth group we were taught that Joy was Jesus first, others second, yourself last, thus spelling out Joy.

I am convinced that we need to love ourselves unconditionally. To stop making ourselves feel guilty when we do not conform to how the world describes a good person, or successful person, or worthwhile person. While I have found joy in focusing on Jesus, at times the dictates of the church and world somehow clouded and stole much of the joy in my life. But I am beginning to understand that in order to truly love others, we must consider ourselves worthy to be loved by God, unconditionally. A heart that obeys his king because he is convinced his king loves him, is a much better subject, imho.

Yes, we need to wake up every morning and realize how MUCH God loves us.

Why ? because it takes faith to believe that God loved this guilty world .

Heaven's peace and perfect justice kissed a guilty world in love.

Jesus the Son of God is love manifesting in the flesh

His banner over me is love. Amen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a blessing this thread was to me this morning, pcamps! Thank you!

Love reaches where faith cannot... (thinking back to the discussion about "doubting" Thomas yesterday..!)

Many blessings to you,

ScarletWren, I like that - and had never heard it before. And I agree with/appreciate the rest of your comments in this thread as well. I have found it to be very true for myself that THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH. When it (the joy of the Lord in my heart) goes - my peace and my strength goes with it. "A merry heart does good like a medicine..." another song I love and agree with!

Unwavering Faith in the reality of God's unconditional love for us does not itch our ears , it actually transforms us . He that is forgiven much loveth much . I bow in my heart daily (even when i feel a failure) and acknowledge His great love for me and by His love He has met me thus far.
