IMO it is the nature of religious internet forums that brings out the worst in some people. Or maybe it is the anonymous nature of internet forums that allows the odd and the hateful to spew their messege without fear of repercussions.

Seeing what goes on here and in other forums makes the kind and gentle stay away.
Sometimes. Even though I don't agree, doesn't mean I have to debate or say someone may be incorrect. Just skim over what the Lord speaks to my heart that is not true. It's not about me, it is all about Jesus.
Some are good debaters and some know the Word better and some are more bold than others. It is a gift and I thank God for each one. I myself just try to stay away from the assuming spirits and labels.

God Bless,
Mercy

I agree. It's easy to let loose with the acid when you're safely behind a computer monitor. Some of what I read in the message boards would have garnered a black eye years ago, because they would have been considered "fightin' words". It's a shame when people want to make gentle contributions and cyber-bully know-it-alls jump on them as if their opinions are inferior.

Some people you can just tell right away are kind-hearted and loving. I think the OP must me that kind of person. Miss Blue seems nice, too.

oooooooo.......how judgmental of you Just kidding. Here in the internet with lack of body language people use use stronger words to get their point across. And yes, it is easy to get carried away, but I think most posters here are fairly thick skinned and don't let the internet talk bother them too much. I have never met an URer in the real world who has told in my face that my beliefs are beliefs of Satan and I that Christianity is herecy, so I don't think they talk like this in the real world.

I find it telling, and more than a little disturbing, when a person claiming to be His, cannot stand the name of Jesus, and the power of His shed blood, being exalted above all.

Our righteousness is as filthy rags in His sight. True, we are washed clean - but washed in the blood, and not of ourselves, "lest any man should boast."
