I'd never have believed this change could have occurred in my life, but it has. My life is proof that Jesus forgives us our past and loves us deeply. His love is unconditional and unlimited.

I today have total assurance in my Saviours love and forgiveness and my going to heaven, because I have placed all my trust in Jesus and keep my eyes focused on Him. It is this assurance of going to heaven that I have found in Christ that has truly brought so much peace and happiness into my life.

[Matthew 6:33] But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

I have realised that every person that has ever been born has a void and hole in their heart and life. This void and emptiness needs to be filled to find any true peace, joy and hope. Nothing this world has to offer can fill that spot in our hearts. No amount of money, gambling, entertainment, success, drugs, alcohol, can fill it, but Jesus alone. It's a God-shaped keyhole.

Special Message: As a result of all the years of alcohol and drug abuse I now have permanent brain damage. I live each day with paranoia and have been diagnosed with bipolar mood disorder and it's very difficult to function and I do not have a normal life anymore, as I am very isolated and also have post traumatic stress disorder. So I plead with you, believe someone who has been there and done that, especially the younger people reading this, do not ever get involved with gangs, bikies, drugs and alcohol as it will destroy your future life and give you brain illness that stops you from being able to live a healthy and normal life. And each day you live in mental torment and have severe mood swings. But thank God, I now have hope in Jesus that he will return soon to give me a new body, a new healthy mind and eternal life in heaven.

With Warm Christian Love,
Tony
So you think there are no conditions to get into heaven and the love of God except accepting that Jesus died for your sins to be your Saviour.

Scripture says differently;

"The man who believes in me shall do the works I do and far greater than these."

"If you continue in my word you are truly my disciple then you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free."

"Unless your righteousness exceeds the scribes and the Pharisees you shall not enter the kingdom of heaven."

"Not everyone who cries to me, Lord, Lord shall enter the kingdom of heaven but only those who do the will of my heavenly Father."

"Abide in my love. You will abide in my love if you keep my commandments just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in His love."

"If you abide in me and my words abide in you, you may ask what you will and it shall be done for you. My Father is glorified in your bearing much fruit and becoming my disciple."

"I am the vine and you are the branches. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit apart from the vine can you apart from me. Whoever abides in me and I in them bears much fruit because apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not abide in me is a withered branch to be cut off, picked up, and thrown in the fire."

"He who acts in truth comes to the light so his deeds are revealed as works of God."

"The man who loves me keeps the commandments he has from me and my Father and I shall love him and I shall reveal myself to him."

"The man who loves me keeps my word."

#2 - The OP has obviously had some life struggles - some of which has affected him permanently. Yet he has the wherewithal to praise the Lord. And this is your response... harsh and critical and legalistic.

Let it go. Salvation is the Lord's. It's not yours or mine.

Really. How cold and unChristlike. I think with all his memorization of bible verses he missed the Love God And Your Neighbor message. Repeating phrases like a parrot is the way to salvation? Sad. Just sad.

Scripture says differently;...... blah.... blah....... blah....
When a heart is ten sizes too small, it misses the beauty of someone who found his faith, and changed his life.

But, I was very amused by the bold parts. I imagined you, on your pedestal of Jello, pointing your finger at the accused and yelling. ahahahaha

He did not praise the Lord. In fact his thoughts on how to be saved hurt those who read it. Sure he had a rough life and I feel for him but it will get rougher unless he goes the right way.

It's sad that people teach the wrong way. To give scripture that shows the correct way is loving your neighbor and gives glory to God.

It is written in the prophets, everyone must be taught by God. Not that anyone has seen God. Only the one who comes from God has seen the Father. I come from Him, He sent me.
Anyone who has heard from the Father and learned from Him comes to me.

I gave my life to JESUS CHRIST YAHWEH years ago, but got baptized and married in summer of 2015. JESUS is oh so amazing. I had lost my job in early June after getting married in the city hall. I had found out my wife was pregnant with our 2nd child. My wife had just quit her job and we didn't have any income. My wife had saved up about $7,000 and spent it on bills and we got baptized together on July 18th, 2015. Then got our CHRISTIAN ceremony on August. My wife and I were stressed out greatly, but JESUS told my wife this is how You will pay for monthly expenses and the wedding. We made our dream wedding come true. We both found jobs also. JESUS has been so FAITHFUL, because earlier in the year I had asked to get baptized and find a great Church and get married. JESUS CHRIST made all Three happened. I still had joy in my heart from HIS HOLY SPIRIT YAHWEH!! Just AMAZING how I had nothing, but HIM. I was filled with peace and joy. Everything worked out for HIS glory. I even work for a good company as of now. Pray for my marriage, career, and my walk with CHRIST JESUS YAHWEH. Thank you.[/quote]

He didn't give any thoughts on how to be saved. He gave his testimony. He wasn't teaching anything.

If you can't see that he was praising Jesus, your head is somewhere where it should not be.

My question is there are millions of Christians out there who are alcoholics, drug users, porn addicted, serial adulterers, embezzlers. Why did God chose to deliver Tony and leave all the rest out in the cold? I've read thousands of stories of Christians who have prayed and prayed and prayed and had their churches pray for them and have never been delivered from their obsessions and so gave Christianity up.

Too little faith? No faith? No faith among the church members who prayed for them? Wrong way to pray? Asking for the wrong thing? Seems to me if Jesus is going to do it for one of his children he's going to do it for all who ask him to. I didn't see any great demonstration of faith on Tony's part that sets him apart from the millions of other Christians who fail miserably to give up their addictions and so walk away from Christianity because, as they cite, their prayers to Jesus to deliver them were never answered.

Perhaps Tony just had stronger inner conviction than he realized and did it with his own will and fierce determination. That would explain why most prayers are never answered while a few are. Jesus does indeed seem to play favorites.
