Christianity started in Antioch, at towards the middle of the Disciples evangelism the word Christian is stated in the Bible as being first used there.
There was no mention of Peter being the Pope or even in Rome, adn Paul was in Rome for some years, writing letters to the congregations, but never once mentioned Peter as being in Rome.
However, that has been the way of main stream religion for all those years adn is still in fashion today. Not a lot of the things taught in the churches is about Christianity but is based on tradition and flavored with lots of pagan fun times.
Just one thing with Christendom is that they have a Hell fire sermon. The believe or at least teach that Hell is a literal place where t he Devil stirs up the sulfur and brimstone to torture bad humans for ever and ever.
Now, wasn't it God that created all that is created? Satan or the angles did not have the power of creation, even Jesus did not create anything on his own. So, It must have been God, the almighty Creator that created Hell, Purgatory, Limbo and any other place that the badies go to be tormented.
Doesn't this put a malicious light on God's purpose for creation? It would if there was a iota of truth in the Hell theory.
IMO it only shows that the religions of Christendom do not have any truth in their teachings and are forced to frighten their followers into following with such terror and torment if they don't.
Another question: God created Man and women and gave them the promise of living in a Paradise earth forever. Why then would he have to install this immortal soul, unless he had other ideas to kill them off at some time and take them somewhere else?
Mankind in his effort to show that he is smarter than God has come up with all their different theories that can not be supported in the "Working Manuel for Christians" the Holy Bible. Didn't Satan say, if you believe me and go against Gods rules, "You will be as Gods" ?
It is simple when you add this information: Hell means the common grave, and soul means ego or personality.
I will give you something else that you might like to try to understand.
In the Bible, in a few places it talks about the Christian's position with world governments. When Satan tempted Jesus in the wilderness Satan offered all the Kingdoms of the world if Jesus would do an act of abeyance to Satan.
Now, Jesus would have known that Satan's offer was serious, why? Well Jesus knew tha Satan is the ruler of world governments.
Jesus said that he "is no part of this world, just as you are no part of this world," when talking to his disciples. Jesus also said that we cannot serve two masters, as we would hate one and love the other.
So, where does that leave the true Christian? It means that a true Christian must look to God's Heavenly Kingdom and not earthly kingdoms. We are advised to obey the laws of the land, but not to be involved in the politics of these governments or kingdoms.
I think the mankind is very naive to think that their vote will make any difference to our political leadership, we have little say in how Satan wants things to run.
The Bible, in The revelation by John talks about the world political powers and how Christendom has ridden on the back of the Beast, the same world powers for a long time.
Just look at the connection with the Roman Church and governments around the world. In a lot of cases religion is the government.
Revelation also reveals what will happen shortly in the world, and how the UN will turn on religion, all religion.
If you would like me to iterate this interpretation here let me know. I will discuss it, but I will not argue it.
To give you an idea of where I am with Christianity or that which is supposed Christlike behavior, I came across one Pope that would explain my beliefs in the Papacy, its line, its origin and its eventual ending...That Pope is Pope Hilarius elected in about 412.
I am sorry, but I find this most appropriate as well as having a bit of satirical humour.
Not a lot of excitement on this thread, hey? But here is something on the trinity theory.
Way back when Moses was a friend of God's Moses knew that Jehovah was one God, God was not divided, nor was he a multiplicity of gods as was common in those days.
Jehovah said that he is the only God and there is no other God's but him.
However here is a mathematical equation that leaves the Trinity theory standing in the wilderness.
One God divided by 1 leaves one. One God multiplied by 1 gives one. One minus one leaves zero and not zero and two bits left over.
