There is hope in this world for all of us.

Even if you don't think there is hope, there is.

Peace out...

In order for one to need to be saved, that person must be in a perilous position; that perilous position is a life of sin that they need to be saved from. Sin is unacceptable to God, and thus they need to be saved from it. Otherwise, being saved would make no sense.

Eternal torment is the result of one dying in their sins, which Jesus paid a huge price to deliver them from -- but they rejected it.

He came to save us from sin, death, and the perils of this world in general (which come from sin or lead to death). Its good news that there is something better to come than this life we have now...

I agree and to set us free from sin consciousness to God consciousness for this life so we can love and serve him without fear from which a condemned conscience could never allow us to do.

I also think this is where traditional christianity totally misses the plot , it thinks it has been saved from ET to a place called heaven , He has saved us from something and to something , but neither of them are ET and Heaven.

IF the price is eternal torment, and Jesus paid the price, then why is He not still there?

He sure did.....and his message was to pray for God's Love so that indwells within your soul! You will feel it if you ask for it. Take the test and pray for his Love every single day and you will notice a change in yourself and your life! You will want to give more, love more and be a better person. It will transform you. God's Love is what has carried me all of my life and I guess because of this I have never dwelled on anything dark. Dark isn't where Love is. Everyone will come to realize the power of God's Love!

Jesus paid for it through an unbelievably horrible crucifixion. If a sinner ultimately rejects this saving grace, then God has nothing else to offer such a person. He/she will die in their sins as an offspring of Lucifer himself.

2 Peter 2
[4] For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
[5] And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
[6] And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
[7] And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked:
[8] (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds; )
[9] The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
