Christy - isn't this what we've called "New Age", where all we need is already within ourselves?

I absolutely do not believe this to be true.

I agree, all we need can be found in Him and all that we are in Him is because of Him.

29That no flesh should glory in his presence. 30But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 1 Cor 1

Take this saying to heart Elmer....Be still and KNOW that I am God.

In the words of Nike......JUST DO IT!!
I do believe that His throne is the heart of man, and that His kingdom is within - not without as so many think.

However - I believe that the nature of God and the nature of Adam are diametrically opposed - we cannot conjure up righteousness from within us, in fact the best we are in our natural state is as a used monthly rag, according to Him.

The cry of His people throughout the ages is "Cleanse me Lord, and I will be clean". (Psa 51:7) - this is not a process that can be done alone.

Yes, but He must first enter - as through a door.

The breath of the Father is in us all - our existence is dependent on Him - but the adoptive nature which cries, "Abba!" is imparted - we are not naturally inclined this way.

We enter though the door (Christ) into the Kingdom of God. Or you could say that when Christ enters though the door of your heart, then you enter into the KOG. Christ is the door into Kingdom of God. As soon as you are let Him in, and are born again, we enter the Kingdom of God/Kingodom of Heaven. The Holy Spirit indwells in us, and that is a part of being a in Kingdom of God.

Concerning the OP ... It seems that what many people are missing when they focus on sinning is that we are supposed to learn forgiveness. When one recognizes ones own weaknesses, and is able to forgive oneself then one is able to forgive others as well. And vice versa ... That is how Christ taught the us to pray with his own words ... "Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us".

Because we are human we sin, and make mistakes and are often weak, we learn not only how to forgive, but we are humbled and thankful for the gift of salvation.

I spend 95 minutes a day stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. I'm worried this might prevent or delay my entry to heaven. Why? Because when you start fantasizing about using brass knuckles on people's faces texting on the phone or driving like a complete moron...well, enough said.
Other than that, no other faults.
