Porn addiction is a sin as well and many of us fight many addictions daily.

Circular reasoning with no evidence.

I do believe the number one rule is: Love thy neighbor as yourself. Jesus meant to love with the Divine Love of God. A kind of Love that sees no sin. Not in anyone. We err in judgement and we learn from experience but we do not sin. It is in the materialistic mind that the "sins" are created. God forgives the very second we err. Humans do not and that is why people like you will never be forgiving individuals. You do not Love the way that God loves us and intended for us to love each other.

Maybe you should get the real rule book instead of relying on man-made doctrine to speak for you. God is within so go there and just maybe you'll find out what is and isn't real. It isn't for you to decide for God. If I remember correctly, you people believe that is a "sin".

The evidence can be found if you know where to look. Mankind can only give you a glimpse of the Truths of God. We must find God within and seek there with Him for the answers. I do believe that Jesus tells you that in your book. I have evidence, just evidence you aren't willing to believe because you do not want to do the work.

LOL, The Divine Love of God is the kind of Love that is not tainted by sin, a Love no one other than God can experience in our current state but we must seek perfection and excuses, justifications or human interpritations will not get us there only the word of God will.

I think in today's society, as a whole, Christians/branched overlook and excuse many things listed in the Old Testament (like shellfish and divorce), but when it comes to homosexuality, they are very adamant on it.

Thoughts and reasons?
I know your intentions are good; but PLEASE consider thread titles before posting....younger LGBT posters can read the title and not feel very good about themselves without opening the thread....and many will not.

With the large, recent increase in Gay suicides all reasonable members of society need to be more careful with their choice of words....especially on the internet.

I'm gay, so I cannot answer your question, other than people just love to hate and judge others.

And you can ask God for Divine love, in which He will bestow unto your soul. As this love transforms the soul, you no longer remain in the image but in the likeness of God. In this way, we love the way God loves.

I do think at times Christians seem to treat homosexuality as out-of-proportion bad in a way I don't think is justified by the Bible or tradition. In most cases when homosexuality is cited as a sin it's in a litany of other sins. (Prostitution, adultery, worship of non-Christian gods, etc) Even in the Old Testament a much harsher punishment, as I recall, is meted out to those women who cheat on their husband with his brother. In that case I think both were to be burned to death. Yet I doubt Christians who even do that feel like committing suicide too often.

And from even a traditional Catholic perspective I'm pretty sure suicide is worse than homosexual sex and almost certainly worse than a non-sexual same-sex romance. You could have sex with the entire cast of Rent and it could be forgiven, but whether suicide could be forgiven I think was a subject of debate. Although I'm not saying suicides go to Hell, just stating it was a topic of debate. That sexual sins could be forgiven wasn't debated so far as I know. Alice B. Toklas converted to Catholicism late in life and Oscar Wilde may have too.
