My first thought was one word, retaliation. Then the who came into it, Christian Berom ethnic group.

So to me it looks like a kill or be killed type or scenario, where according to the reports:

in which mostly Christians were killed, range from 150 to 450.

to...36 Muslim deaths.
Then I went to find out who is this Christian Berom group and what are they all about...

The conflict began in March of this year:

Christians are still killing folks for their religion, its that simple. Sure, Muslims are to.

And you're making my point, look at my posts. I said its not the religion that anyone kills over, religion is the excuse used to kill for other reasons.
