Man did not know who God was and is until the Son made him known, Jesus was the unveiling of who God is " No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known". John 1:18.

In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The OT boys had never witnessed this life

I believe all the OT patriarchs acted by faith in the light they had, that is all they could do .

Insane and Christy, you really cannot see what God did or is doing? It is so simple like Pcamps said, reaping and sowing, it is so clear but you cant see it. Please look deeper it is there.
And you are completely side stepping the issue at hand which is....God commands men to commit massive amounts of genocide and other abhorrent atrocities...this is not reaping and sowing...this is God commanding others to do his dirty work...are you denying this is so????

Um...lesson??? That he is ALL powerful and does not need humans with swords to kill people he wants killed, maybe?

God warns all of mankind over and over again of what they are doing wrong and what they need to do to make it right. Man repeatedly ignores God so God gives them an ultimatum like the flood, sodom and gomorah, ninevah. Ninevah listened and repented while the others did not.
He does, huh?

Robin can you not see in the bold . . . the inherent contradiction in the use of humans to enforce the laws of Almighty God??? That is not my definition of the actions of an Almighty God . . . that is the actions of a weak and impotent fraud.
